Seán Silke arbeitete im Musikeinzelhandel, in der Pharmazie, in der Agrarforschungsverwaltung (25 Jahre) sowie bei Wohltätigkeitsprojekten für ältere Menschen. Seit 2012 ist er hauptberuflich als Komponist tätig. 2018 veröffentlichte er das 14-Track Album „In the Heart of the Castle“ von Weekend Special mit Folk/Pop- und Country-Kompositionen. Zwei weitere Alben aus den Jahren 2018-2019 sind bislang noch nicht erschienen: „Unexamined Emotions" (14 Pop Songs für Erwachsene, gesungen von Ellen Cosgrove) und „Unlucky in Love“ (15 Tanzsongs mit verschiedenen Künstlerinnen, produziert vom Tanzmusiker Chris Kabs).
